We spent one night at this gorgeous spot in Colorado, after crossing the Great Divide earlier in the day. It was our first boondock (no hookups of any kind) other than being in parking lots and truck stops, and it was intensely enjoyable. The boys ran around with nerf guns until it got too dark to see, and we reveled in the fresh air and freedom. It was torture to leave the next morning, but we were on a 13 day Chicago to San Francisco trek to make it to a wedding. A Road Somewhere in Utah was taken just a few days later.
